A Taste of Mexico City

Mexico is knows for being the birthplace of the taco. So naturally it is important you go to Mexico city for one purpose, to find the best tacos and the best salsa you can find. That was exactly my mission when we visited the city. Here are my top places to go for some of the most delicious, authentic Mexican food in the city.

#1 Los Cocuyos: This was recommended to us by our Uber driver and he knew what he was talking about! They only have one thing on the menu and its Tacos, but boy do they have every kind of taco you can imagine. With meat, onion, cilantro, and choices of salsa these are my favorite tacos in Mexico City. They are very cheap too and authentic.

#2 Terraza Cathedral: This was tricky but you have to go into the hostel and tell the elevator guy you are looking for the Terizza and he will point you to the 5th floor which is actually the 4th floor plus a flight of stairs. The most STUNNING view of the city and especially the Cathedral lit up at night, this roof top bar was my absolute favorite. It is an assortment of bar delicious bar food and their signature drinks along with the classics. This was a beautiful way to end the day of exploring the city.

#3 La Casa de ToÑo: I loved this place because not only did they have a ton of taco options but they had 6 different table salsas from red to green, spicy to, mild, plus the atmosphere there is lively and the meal was very cheap!

#4 Bro House: This cute little breakfast lunch spot has the best chilliquilles i have ever had. This was my number 1 dish i had to get in Mexico city and Bro House delivered. They also have amazing hot cakes and other breakfast foods. Coffee Id stay away from but get the green juice!

And there you have it. My favorite tacos and views while visiting Mexico. Honestly this city was so massive and even though we went to as many places and asked the locals for their recommendations I feel like this list doesn't even touch what you could fine.
